Allied Is a full service Architecture, Design & Real Estate Development company based in Los Angeles. Founded by Ali Heshmati in 2016. Our leadership team has a portfolio of work, that combined, spans over three decades and across different building typologies. Our services cover everything from Master Planning, Conceptual Design and Construction Documentation to Entitlement, Permitting and Construction Administration.

We are a group of Architects from different backgrounds whose main mission is to ensure we create high quality experience through our work, and ultimately leave behind a built environment we can all be proud of.

Ali Heshmati

Founder | Design Principal

With 17 years of experience as an Architect, Ali started this firm in 2016 with the vision of implementing all the invaluable knowledge gained from his years working for other great names in the industry into a Design driven - Client focused Architecture and Development practice. Having had the privilege to graduate from both Architecture and Film schools, has always given him a unique perspective on his approach to his professional life and most importantly bridging the gap between the Scientific and Artistic attributes that are involved in this profession.

A dedicated Designer at heart, Ali has always admired peers who have chosen the path of more direct impact on the built environment as Master Builder, rather than the adaptation of the traditional Architects role as a service provider.

His philosophy in Design is inspired by great work from all around the Globe, and he is a true believer that in order to create great work, one must be a student for life.

Christine Phung

Managing Partner | Principal

Christine is a licensed architect with over 15 years of experience and treats client’s projects with care and attention to detail. Through her knowledge of cutting-edge design and how things are built she bridges the creative and technical aspects of design. Having journeyed extensively for both work and leisure throughout East and Southeast Asia, Europe, South America, North Africa, and the Middle East, she brings unique and global perspectives into her work invoking the power of real memories which become inspirations for her designs.

She believes architecture should create value and meaning by being contextually sensitive and meeting practical demands while at the same time exciting users and introducing new perspectives to the built environment. At the beginning of her career, she spent two years in Korea working as an architect before coming back to the USA to receive world-class training from firms such as Morphosis Architects, CallisonRTKL, and Abramson Architects.
